A gunman who killed four is seen grinning in a mugshot after he live-streamed a shooting spree.
Ezekiel Kelly was arrested after killing four and injuring three others in shootings in Memphis.
One of the murders police said he live-streamed on Facebook.
He had numerous felony charges against him which were still to be heard.
Police chief Cerelyn 'C.J.' Davis, said: "This has been a horrific week for the city of Memphis.”
The public were warned to stay away from Kelly who was described as “armed and dangerous” in a social media post.
Davis said the alleged killer has since been connected to at least eight separate shootings
At 12.56am the suspect allegedly shot and killed a 24-year-old man in his driveway.
He continued his alleged spree and targeted people at random forcing terrified residents to seek shelter.
Around 4.38pm, he allegedly shot a man in his car several times. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kelly then reportedly fired his gun at a woman who was injured by a bullet wound in the leg and taken to hospital.
Police also confirmed the gunman opened fire at an AutoZone store while live streaming the atrocity.
In a recording of the Facebook livestream on social media, Kelly can be seen getting out of a car and walking a few steps into the store before firing a gun twice at a man inside the shop.
The victim was and was taken to the hospital in critical condition.
Kelly rants to the camera about “no faking, this s–t for real,” as he recorded the livestream of events.
A citizen quickly alerted police about the video and soon after, the Memphis PD issued a public alert regarding Kelly and the vehicle he was reportedly driving.
Shortly after the alert went out, Kelly allegedly carjacked and shot a woman to switch vehicles.
Allegedly she was shot at 7.23pm before he took her car, a gray Toyota SUV .The woman died at the scene, according to WREG.
Officers found another male shooting victim who was taken to the hospital.
A woman with gunshot wounds was pronounced dead at the scene at 855pm
Kelly then crossed the state line and allegedly committed a second carjacking.
He reported stole victim's Dodge Challenger in Mississippi before the Memphis state line.
The stolen car ended up in high-speed chase that ended when Kelly crashed the car.
The suspect was take into police custody without incident and according to police two recovered two weapons were recovered from the car.
