Anton Rucker, a 46-year-old convicted felon, was taken into custody after being tracked down by police to a residence in Princeton, Kentucky.
Rucker was on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation's Most Wanted list following the shooting that left 33-year-old Allen Beachem dead.
Police said the shooting happened around 3 p.m. Sunday when Rucker opened fire inside the Roasted Salemtown restaurant, striking five people and killing one man.
According to authorities, there was an altercation between two men at Roasted Salemtown during Sunday brunch, which quickly escalated to one of the men pulling out a gun and firing multiple shots.
Roasted Salemtown later issued a statement expressing deep sadness over the incident and offering thoughts and prayers to the victims and their families.
Rucker, with an extensive criminal record that includes convictions for aggravated assault, evading police, and drug-related offenses, has been arrested multiple times in the past for various charges.
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department confirmed that Rucker has aggravated assault convictions in Nashville and was previously arrested on felony drug charges and aggravated assault and gun charges in other incidents.
The authorities are continuing their investigation into the shooting incident as Rucker remains in custody in Kentucky on a fugitive from justice warrant.
