A man has been charged after armed police surrounded a house.
Dramatic video footage, sent to the ECHO, showed the moment armed officers descended on Clayford Crescent in Old Swan and pointed their guns at a house. Merseyside Police confirmed they were called to the area at around 1.30pm and a cordon was put in place along a section of the road.
Several police vehicles including two matrix vans were also pictured parked up in the area. Officers and a police dog carried out a search of a house on Clayford Crescent on Monday afternoon, and a man was arrested.

Merseyside Police has now confirmed Dylan Maher, 28, of Clayford Crescent, Old Swan, has been charged with multiple firearms offences.
The charges include: possession of a firearm when prohibited for life, possession of ammunition when prohibited for life, possession of a handgun and possession of ammunition. Maher has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Tuesday 2 May.
