Gujarat: Inspired by crime shows, tailor poses as IPS officer to 'impress' people; held

SURAT: A 26-year-old man employed as a tailor in a textile unit in Surat has been apprehended for allegedly impersonating an IPS officer, according to police.

The impersonator, identified as Mohammad Sarmaj Alam, hailing from Bihar and with an education up to the 10th grade, was found to have a penchant for donning police attire and parading in public places to impress onlookers, stated DCP Bhagirath Gadhavi.
