Gujarat: Fire officer caught in Rs 5-lakh graft case

AHMEDABAD: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday detained Mahesh Kumar Mod, the in-charge deputy director of Gujarat State Fire Prevention Service (GSFPS), in connection with a graft complaint.

The ACB nabbed a private individual, Kamal Gadhvi, who accepted a bribe of Rs 5 lakh on Mod’s behalf. The bureau was acting on a complaint filed by a citizen.
