Gujarat college committee probes ragging incident

AHMEDABAD: A day after receiving a complaint from seven students that they have been routinely punched, slapped, and abused over many months by three seniors, the anti-ragging committee of BJ Medical College (BJMC) in Gujarat's Ahmedabad started an inquiry into these allegations.

In the letter, the students had said that one of them had been seriously injured in the ear.

The complainants — in the second year of the postgraduate course in the orthopaedic branch — have said that their tormentors are third-year students of the same branch.
