GANDHINAGAR: Consul general of Canada in Mumbai, Diedrah Kelly, paid a courtesy visit to chief minister Bhupendra Patel in Gandhinagar on Wednesday.
The CM and the consul general discussed potential Canada-Gujarat partnerships, in the fields of education and green technology. Kelly said Canada has focused on opportunities in sectors such as automotive, clean tech and renewable energy, education, infrastructure, life sciences and has started a trade commissioner service office in Ahmedabad. Kelly said special focus is on Gujarat students seeking to study in Canada. Patel said that Gift City offers opportunities for Canadian financial institutions. He invited Canadian institutions to invest in Gift City. tnn
