A visitor has left a scathing review after visiting a popular Black County museum claiming the attraction is a 'facade'.
The guest had tickets to the Black Country Living Museum, which is famed for having popular show Peaky Blinders filmed there back in 2018.
Despite acting as a backdrop for the BBC drama, they were left disappointed and said that the museum was 'one big barricaded building site' and said that it had 'little or no authenticity.'
The museum is based in Dudley and has actors portraying life as it was in the Black Country during the industrial revolution and costs £20 per person, Birmingham Live reports.
They wrote on August 14: "This was a huge disappointment. I have been looking forward to visiting this museum for years.
"Arrived only to find it was one big barricaded building site with work in progress. Bus garage was closed (no rides) trolley bus was also out of action. Felt the whole place was a façade of a museum with little or no authenticity.
"And after paying around £40 for me and my wife to stick around for 20 minutes I was horrified to learn that I needed to pay £3.50 to exit the place."
They continued: "Just not good. I notice my entry ticket entitled me to a free entry next time I visit - some hope of that happening!"
A spokesperson for the museum responded to TripAdvisor's one-star review. They said: "Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your experience here at the Museum.
"Please be assured that we have taken on board all of your comments and we take all feedback seriously to help us improve our events for the future. We completely appreciate that the building work taking place may be a deterrent to enjoying the authenticity of the Museum, for this, we do apologise.

Despite having an average TripAdvisor rating of 4.5 out of 5 from over 5,000 reviews, the visitor added that they would not be returning to the museum even with the free tickets they were later issued.
