The highly anticipated finale of James Gunn's trilogy: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 has officially had its first screening! The cast, press and fans gathered at Disneyland Paris for the premiere of one of Marvel's most anticipated upcoming movies, and early reactions seem to indicate that this fan-favorite ensemble is going to go out with a bang.
James Gunn's movie will follow the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 cast on one final ride through the universe, and based on the GOTG Vol. 3 trailer alone we know we are in for an emotional ride. Now, the first people to see the film are confirming that this movie is fantastic, which has me all the more excited to see what happens to Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Groot, Rocket, Nebula and co. as they encounter characters like Adam Warlock and The High Evolutionary.
Steven - LDG posted his review from the Paris premiere, writing (all tweets have been translated from French to English):
It seems like many fans were super excited about this movie, especially after not being the most impressed by the MCU's last few entries. Marvel Story agreed with this point, and was excited to sing their praises for the third and final Guardians movie, writing:
James Gunn even commented on this user's post, to show his love for the fans, by simply posting a red heart emoji.
As for IGN France, they were actively coy with their review of the 2023 movie schedule entry, working very hard to not give away any details, writing:
Just like all the other people who saw GOTG Vol. 3 and shared their thoughts, Disneyphile posted their glowing review for the film that could very well become one of Chris Pratt's best movies, writing:
Panache, what a great word! I know this review has me feeling all the feels as we get ready to say goodbye to some of my favorite MCU characters.
For Maxime Chao, he, like many others, made the claim that this is the best entry in the Guardian's franchise, even though he had one qualm. He posted:
Overall, early reactions to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 are overwhelmingly positive, so I think it's safe to say that we should all be ready to rock out (and likely shed a tear or two) with this fantastic ensemble one final time when the movie hits theaters on May 5. In the meantime, you can watch the Marvel movies in order, and throw it back to the first two Guardians movies to get "Hooked on [that GOTG] Feeling" again with a Disney+ subscription.
