Fans are warning that the free month of GTA+ included in your GTA 6 pre-orders will be automatically set to renew, so make sure to turn that off if you don't want to pay for more.
Rockstar Games confirmed the GTA 6 price yesterday ahead of the pre-orders going live today, which also included the biggest info dump we've had about the game probably ever. The GTA 6 Ultimate Edition was confirmed, as was the fact that there's exclusive content locked behind the $100 version, as well as other annoying bits of news like GTA 6 physical copies being a code in a box.
Rockstar also confirmed that anyone who pre-orders GTA 6 will get a cosmetic pack inspired by GTA Vice City, but there's another pre-order bonus in there in the form of a free month of GTA+. Rockstar's own subscription gives you benefits on GTA Online, as well as access to a number of games in the Rockstar back catalogue like Bully, Red Dead Redemption, and GTA 5.
However, fans have noticed that the free month of GTA+ will automatically renew for anyone who activates it. It's worth noting that it's not a case of pre-ordering GTA 6 and you'll automatically be put on the subscription, instead you'll be sent an email with an activation code for GTA+, and once you activate it then it will be put on an auto-renew process.
So, PSA to anyone who pre-orders GTA 6 and activates their free month of GTA+ – go and check your console's subscription tab and turn off auto-renew for GTA+. Unless you fancy keeping it, in which case do nothing, I guess?
