GTA 6 Took Years To Make as Rockstar Perfected Its World, but Future Games Could Come Sooner, Says Rockstar

After a 13-year wait since Grand Theft Auto 5, Rockstar's most ambitious game yet, Grand Theft Auto 6, is finally set to launch on 19 November for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S – and the studio now believes future titles may not take as long to arrive.

Speaking to Bloomberg, Rockstar technical lead Phil Hooker said he expects the next major project to benefit from the technology, tools and team assembled for the long-awaited sequel, which should help accelerate development.
