NEW DELHI: At Rs 1.68 lakh crore, the Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in April touched an all-time high - up nearly 20 per cent from the same period last year, the finance ministry said.
Improved compliance and recovery in business activity are the key reasons behind the record collections, the finance ministry statement said.
