A group of travellers who pitched up at Ruddington Lane Recreation Ground are still there despite being served an eviction notice. The park is situated just off the A52, and this group is believed to have been there since Saturday (May 21) evening.
There are around 25 caravans or so spread out across the site which is located either side of residential streets and includes a play area. A spokesman for Nottingham City Council confirmed that community protection officers visited the Ruddington site on Monday morning (May 23), and it is understood that the families were served an eviction notice.

The appearance comes after another group were evicted from Nottingham's Victoria Embankment on Friday (May 20). Nottingham City council said legal proceedings had started on Monday after a failure to comply with an eviction notice.
It is not known if the group at Ruddington is the same as the travellers who left the Victoria Embankment. A 22-year-old mother of a new-born baby currently on the Ruddington site told Nottinghamshire Live of her "difficult" first year on the road.
