Group of sheep rescued from rooftop after leaping on it from field next door

A group of sheep had to be rescued earlier today after getting stuck on a locals roof.

This afternoon (April 28) West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service took to their Twitter to share the bizarre images.

In one photo, people got to see one sheep perched above a window looking unbothered at the height they'd found themselves in.

Another photo, and slightly more humorous, saw five sheep flocked together on the slanted roof with some looking at the camera.

The official West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service tweeted the funny snaps with the caption: "Ph-ewe - this was a close shave

"Our Tech Rescue Officer's specialist animal husbandry training came in handy when he rescued these sheep from a roof after they'd leapt onto it from a neighbouring field. Baaa-rmy behaviour!"

It wasn't long before people found the situation hilarious and were quick to comment on the odd predicament the sheep found themselves in.

Thersw commented: "They're all looking to their leader and asking, "So, what do we do now boss?"

While Elaine Day said: "Only in Yorkshire [laughing crying emoji and heart emoji]"

Matt Freeman added: "That's what I call a woolly jumper!"

Colin Bell KK questioned: "Was it a family day out?"

With harborhound8 curious how the sheep got up there saying: "Who knew this was a thing?"

Although they may not be thought of as animals that can jump that high, according to Learn About Pet, there have been cases of sheep jumping up to 7 feet.

They added that the average sheep can jump between two to three feet.

However, considering these Yorkshire sheep managed to get onto somebody's roof we'd say that's pretty impressive!
