Government ‘urgently’ identifying grooming gang members eligible for early release

Ministers in Andy Burnham’s Government are "urgently" working to identify any grooming gang offenders who could remain eligible for early prison release following warnings over a potential loophole in the system.

A spokesperson said on Thursday that the Prime Minister has "personally intervened" to ensure that "everything possible is being done so that vile groomers are dealt with in the way their victims deserve".
