Wedding speeches can be fraught with danger and tension, especially if the speech-maker has maybe had one champagne too many. But one couple's marriage ended just hours after the ceremony, when a groom exposed his cheating fiancée and best man to a room full of their family and friends during their wedding speeches.
Rather than drop his bride after finding out about the dishonest pair, the groom decided to go right on with his wedding before dropping the bombshell in front of their gathered loved ones. He then left the wedding with his family, who were in on the charade, leaving the disloyal bride and her family with the bill.
The story came from The Unfiltered Bride podcast host Georgie, who shared the tale with her co-host Beth in an episode snippet shared to Facebook. "I've got another story to tell you, I can't tell you who told me because I'm not really allowed to tell the story," Georgie said.

Beth jokingly cried out "fraud," before Georgie continued: "But f*** it, I'm going to tell the story anyway. So there was a wedding, and they did the wedding, the bride and groom.
"[They] got married, lovely ceremony and drinks reception - they sat down and had their food. Speeches [came] after food. Father of the bride does his thing."
She added: "Groom stands up and says 'just before I like properly get started, there's envelops coming round now if you could all open them up. Yeah, those are pictures of the bride f****** the best man, so I'll be leaving now'.
"[He] drops the microphone and him and all his family knew about it, and left. Because they wanted the bride to have had to pay for the food." Shocked by the story, Beth asks: "So the bride had to pay for everything?"
Georgie replied: "The bride's family paid for everything. Karma is a b****." Georgie replied: "Karma is a b****, the best man as well!"
TikTok users took to the comment section, with many praising the groom for his plotting. One said: "Life is all about timing !! What a legend !!"
Another said: "Imagine the other guests just sitting there like, 'so... will there still be cake or...'" while someone else typed: "my mouth actually dropped. OMG!!!"
Others were concerned over the legal marriage status of the couple, with one saying: "But if they’re at the reception making speeches then they’ve already had the ceremony and he married her…" Someone else replied: "Can get it annulled easily because of the proof of infidelity I’m guessing."
