Groom hit speeds of 121mph on M4 while rushing to his wedding

Tying the knot can be the most amazing but also stressful day of your life. From ensuring all of your meticulous plans are in order to also herding your guests to the right place, there is a lot to do.

One groom was stopped by police after speeding down the motorway to his own wedding. Officers caught him hitting 121mph on the M4, reports Wiltshire Live.

The groom, driving in a BMW, was also spotted with a dodgy tyre which "topped this stop off", according to police. The incident took place on Sunday, June 11.

Posting about the incident to the Wilshire Police Specialist Ops Twitter account, police said the driver was reported to court and the vehicle was prohibited.

The tweet said: "Usually, the bride is always late. Unfortunately, this groom has some explaining to do after being caught at 121 mph on the M4 on the way to his wedding.

"A read nearside tyre with cord exposed topped this stop off. Driver reported to court, vehicle prohibited #donttellthebride."
