Greyhound racing in Scotland 'beyond reform' as some dogs 'drugged with cocaine'

MSPs have been told that Greyhound racing in Scotland is "beyond reform" as some dogs are "drugged with illegal substances such as cocaine".

The Scottish Parliament's Rural Affairs, Islands and Natural Environment Committee has been asked by campaigners from Scotland Against Greyhound Exploitation (Sage) to call for a complete ban on the sport.

Shawfield Stadium in Rutherglen near Glasgow is currently the only regulated race track in Scotland - however there is also one unregulated track at Thornton in Kirkcaldy, Fife.
