Channel 10 has yet to officially announce another season of The Traitors Australia, but if the success of this year’s season is anything to go by, the campy murder mystery series has a long future ahead.
Unlike the first two non-celebrity seasons of the Aussie version, the current iteration features 22 of Australia’s most infamous reality stars — from The Bachelor and MAFS contestants to Australian Survivor and Big Brother legends — as they play the ultimate game of deception and betrayal for the chance to win up to $250,000.
Gretel Killeen reveals who she wants on The Traitors Australia 2027
Gretel Killeen told PEDESTRIAN.TV on the 2026 Logie Awards red carpet on Sunday evening that while she’s not personally in charge of casting, she has someone in mind for next year’s season.
“Well, what you want is for the person to go against type. I think Ray Martin as a Traitor would be interesting,” she shared. “I love him, but I know he totally is not a Traitor. But he might get into it, you never know?”
The former Big Brother host went on to share that she’s had messages from “a lot of people” who want to be involved.
“Now that people can see, it’s really fun,” she said. “I mean, it’s a lot of money, but also people say, ‘Wait a minute, you can strategise’. Mind you, they don’t always win, but it’s just a good, fun thing to do in a challenging time.”
Who else should compete on The Traitors Australia 2027?
Former Bachelor star and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! runner-up Matt ‘Matty J’ Johnson told P.TV on the red carpet that he’s a big fan of The Traitors, but would hate being a contestant himself.
“I could never. When I did I’m A Celebrity, to pass the time we played The Traitors, and I would last three seconds as a Traitor. I’d be like, ‘It’s me!’,” he said.
“I can’t handle that kind of pressure. I would like being a Faithful, but I could not think of anything worse than trying to live in that environment.”
Drag Race Down Under stars Vybe and Coco Jumbo also told P.TV they’re keen to follow in Kween Kong’s footsteps — and hopefully make it further in the game than she did.
“We’re available for bookings! If you want the show to continue, put us on,” Vybe joked.

This year’s contestant Alex Nation told P.TV at The Traitors 2026 launch event earlier this month that there are a few people from The Bachelor universe that she’d personally love to see on next year’s season.
“Osher [Günsberg] would be amazing. I think Osher would make a phenomenal Traitor,” she said. “Could you imagine The Honey Badger [Nick Cummins]? He wouldn’t have been able to decide who to kill, who to keep. We all know he’s terrible at making decisions.”
Keira Maguire added that her Bachie co-stars Nikki Gogan and Olena Khamula would be great on the show, while Tully Smyth said her Big Brother housemate Tahan Lew deserves a reality TV comeback.
“She’s hot, she’s no BS, she’s really upfront, she’s really to the point, and I think she would really love to be a Traitor. I think she’d be great at it,” she said.
The Real Housewives of Sydney’s Krissy Marsh shared that Victoria Montano would be “very good physically” on the show and Nicole O’Neil would be “very competitive”, and Australian Survivor’s Kirby Bentley said she wants to see Feras Basal face the round table.
Meanwhile, former MAFS brides Cyrell Paule, Gia Fleur and Eden Harper all revealed on P.TV’s podcast Villain Edit that they’d happily sign up to the show, which would undoubtedly make ICONIC TV.
