Families of the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire have accused the Government of trying to “erase the voices” of the tragedy, after a request to preserve a haunting staircase wall marked with the handprints of residents was denied.
Relatives are now seeking to launch legal action to challenge this decision, claiming that earlier assurances that parts of the tower would be preserved for a future memorial are being broken.
