A Greggs superfan was left 'in shock' after a visit to a Greggs' bakery outlet, where he discovered many of his favourite baked goods were being sold for half price or less. Food blogger Cory, who is known to many fans as 'Greggs on legs', recently took a trip to an outlet in the town of Barry, Wales, and was left amazed by the low prices on offer.
The outlet, which Cory dubbed 'Second hand Greggs', sells day-old goods at a discount, including plenty of perfectly good sandwiches, pastries, and cakes.
He was amazed to find he could buy two pasties for just £1.25, which he declared to be 'proper nice and in a proper bag as well' - a funny nod to another viral video where a woman obsessed over her cheap and cheerful chicken burger.
Sharing his findings with his followers in a TikTok video, Cory - who goes by the username @corysworldd - gushed: "Not an AD, just in shock n had to share it with u all omg omg so cheap."
He continued: "£1.25 for two pasties - proper nice and a proper bargain as well. Corned beef pasties, festive bakes, cheese, and bean melts.
"Ring doughnuts, £1.25, and any baguette, £1.05. Four Pudsey Bear biscuits for 55p. Doughnuts 55p, and sausage rolls, £1.55 for four. That's why they call me Greggs on legs."
A number of Cory's followers were left equally impressed, with one person commenting: "Cheapy Greggs! Always go to this one instead of the full-priced one up the road".
Another wrote: "I always thought the one near us was an actual Greggs and when I went to a normal one I was confused on why everything was 'expensive'."
A third joked: "Proper nice, and a proper bargain as well."
Unfortunately, Mirror reporter Danni Scott was recently left disappointed following a trip to a newly opened Gregg's outlet near London's ExCel Centre.
According to Danni, who visited on a Wednesday lunchtime, the savoury department was somewhat lacking, but she was impressed by the range of sweet treats.
