A Greggs product has been recalled from Iceland shops as the frozen two-pack Chicken Bake could contain pieces of hard plastic.
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has cautioned that the item is 'unsafe to eat'.
The recall is in effect for frozen Chicken Bakes with a best before date of September 19, 2022.
If you've got a pack at home, the FSA advises consumers to return it to the shop it was bought for a full refund.
"Greggs recalls Greggs frozen 2 pack Chicken Bake, sold exclusively in Iceland stores, because some packs have been found to contain pieces of hard plastic," says the food alert warning posted on the FSA website on Friday (April 29).
"If you have bought the above product, do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. For more information, contact +44 08081 473 447 or getintouch@greggs.co.uk."
The pastry is part of Greggs line exclusively sold in Iceland for shoppers to have its iconic pastries like sausage rolls and steak bakes at home.
Its description on the Iceland website - where it is under a two for £4 offer - says: "Discover delicious bite-size chicken breast pieces in a creamy white sauce, inside crisp, flaky, golden pastry.."
The chicken pastry has a four out of five star rating on the website.
