Greggs forced to close top city centre shop 'temporarily'

ONE of Glasgow's most popular Greggs locations has closed 'temporarily'.

The Buchanan Street bakery was closed to customers on Tuesday, March 7 with no indication of when the shop would re-open.

The location is especially popular with commuters due to it's close proximity to main transport links, such as the Subway and Queen Street Station.

The nearest location open to the public is located at Buchanan Galleries.

Customers were informed of the closure by a sign taped to the door of the shuttered outlet.

The customer notice read: "Sorry, we've had to temporarily close this shop, we'll be back soon.

"Our ovens our baking at Buchanan Galleries."

No further information was provided about the cause of the closure.

Greggs has been contacted for comment.
