Greggs and Primark launch collection with pop-up in Manchester city centre - with the help of Big Narstie

Greggs and Primark launched their new collection ‘Snackfest’ with a pop-up in Manchester city centre. Complete with shoes, bags, bucket hats and a sausage roll t-shirt, crowds flocked for free grub in Cathedral Gardens - with a surprise guest in the form of Big Narstie.

The DJ, TV presenter, author and MC took to the top deck of the Snackfest bus and MC’d the event - including belting out an Oasis track. Big Narstie kept his audience entertained with shouts of 'oggy, oggy, oggy' and '0161', brand ambassadors and the public danced and clapped to his set.

Despite arriving in a Manchester United bucket hat, the MC donned a coveted Greggs bucket hat for his performance. Meanwhile, around the pop up, people continued to shop and enjoy free sausage rolls, both meat and vegan, along with the fairground games installed.

The Greggs and Primark Snackfest collection comes after the initial launch of Greggs and Primark merchandise back in February. This launch was so popular that it sold out and was soon, reportedly, selling on eBay for three times its original price.

Queues were formed all through the gardens as people couldn’t wait to get their hands on the clothing and enjoy Big Narstie’s set.

The collection, which will be launching in stores on August 5, includes some original classics, such as bucket hats, underpants, socks and sliders.

However, there are new pieces added to give this collection a festival vibe, these include a new bumbag, clogs, new t-shirts and lounge sets for him and her.
