Gregg Popovich’s reaction to almost getting played off the stage during his Basketball Hall of Fame speech was priceless

San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich wasn’t about to cut his time short to make his induction speech into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.

During his induction speech, Popovich motioned over to some of the former Spurs legends that joined him on the stage. He said that one of the reasons he had made the Hall of Fame was “duh,” meaning that those guys are part of the reason he’s able to be recognized for this career honor.

Well, the folks running the ceremony thought he said “done,” and they began playing the music to close out the speech. However, Popovich wasn’t done with his moment and had to hilariously tell NBA broadcaster Ahmad Rashad to step back to the side of the stage and retake the lectern to finish out his speech.

“I’ve been waiting for this a long time; I’m not done,” Popovich joked to the crowd as they cheered him on to finish his speech.

Popovich deserved every second they had to give him, and you can check out his full induction speech below.
