Greg Taylor sees Celtic interview derailed by HICCUPS as chuckling star hails Ange Postecoglou 'standards'

Greg Taylor couldn't stop laughing during his post-match interview after Celtic demolished Aberdeen 4-0 at Parkhead on Saturday afternoon - with the Celtic star suffering from hiccups throughout.

Goals from Callum McGregor and Liel Abada either side of a well-taken Reo Hatate double saw the league leaders maintain their nine-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership table with just 12 games to go; meaning that goal difference allowing, Ange Postecoglou's men now only have to win nine of their remaining 12 games to lift the title once more.

Taylor played his part yet again, keeping a clean sheet and assisting Hatate for his first and the games' second goal as the Hoops warmed up superbly for the crunch Viaplay Cup final clash against Rangers next Sunday. And, in his post-match interview, Taylor put a smile on the face of BBC reporters as he couldn't stop hiccupping and joking throughout.

He said: "Yeah, another strong performance, started the game really well and got the j...excuse me...got the job done.

"Behind the scenes it is really enjoyable, everyone works so hard throughout the week just to get an opportunity at the weekend...I've got the hiccups, sorry!"

"The boys any time they get given an opportunity, even the subs coming...on today, have high standards. The manager sets the tone, we all know we can't falter from his standards. Now that we have a strong group, everyone is so eager to play, so eager to do well and impress so every day the level is...really high.

"The team is the reason we get clean sheets. It's Kyogo and the wingers, they start the press and do so much work for the team. It's important to realise the defensive and clean sheets comes as a collective.

"Trophies are what the club demands so that's what we aim to do. We'll be ready when the weekend comes but we'll have five sessions to impress the manager first. We just have to focus on ourselves and trying to be the best version of ourselves and we aim to do that in training on M...onday. Excuse me...!"
