Still Game icon Greg Hemphill and Burnistoun's Robert Florence are returning to BBC One Scotland this weekend with their comedy sketch 'Queen of the New Year'. The programme made its festive debut last year and is making a comeback on Hogmanay to bring more mirth and merriment to the evening.
Featuring Greg and Robert with some of the best up and coming and established Scottish talent, the show will take on big talking points from 2022, serving up plenty of laughs as we head towards the bells.
From Turkey teeth, delayed ferries, fast turnaround prime ministers, everyday VAR decisions to an unusual masked singer… it has been a rollercoaster of a year. Thankfully 'Queen of the New Year' is here to poke fun at all the news and gossip of the last twelve months.
The cast also includes Stephen Buchanan, Louise McCarthy, Laura Lovemore, Martin Quinn, Jamie MacDonald, Gayle Telfer Stevens, Paul McCole, Matt Costello, Stuart McPherson and Elizabeth Caproni.
And new for 2022 are 'The Dolls' - your quintessential Glasgow cleaners who clean the stairs and hoover the carpets.
With a dedicated on-stage fan base of over 100,000, award-winning duo Gayle Telfer Stevens and Louise McCarthy have captured the hearts and dirty minds of Scotland for many years selling venues, and are now being given their chance to shine on national TV.
'Queen of the New Year' will air at 11pm on BBC One Scotland on Saturday December 31st.
