Green St Patrick's Day cocktail 'shamrocking' launches at Ayrshire bar

An award-winning Ayrshire bar has launched it's very own range of green cocktails in time for St Patrick's Day.

The Smoking Goat Bar & Grill in Ayr have shared a sneak peak of their 'shamrocking' specials ahead of the festivities kicking off this weekend.

St Patrick's Day is a celebration of the patron Saint of Ireland and traditionally takes place today.

This year, the annual Irish bash falls on a Friday, with bars across the UK getting set for a huge weekender.

And the Academy Street haunt will be joining in the huge party with the quirky boozer hosting a singer and serving up some colourful concoctions in tribute to the emerald isle.

Thirsty revellers can dive into a Shamrock Sour, a drunken Leprechaun and Paddy's Craic.

The eye-catching luminous cocktails will be sold all weekend.

The Smoking Goat Bar & Grill was previously crowned Scotland's Best Independent Bar at the Scottish Entertainment Awards.

The cosy intimate venue run by David Storrie has earned a big reputation for wacky spell-binding drinks and grub.
