Coal IPC Mining HVO Commission Hunter Valley Operations Hunter

The Independent Planning Commission (IPC) has approved the extension of the Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) project, but with conditions designed to offset its greenhouse gas emissions.

HVO, the largest coal mining project in the state's history, will be allowed to continue operating until 2045.
