LB Ty Summers
The Packers released Summers on Sunday.
A seventh-round pick in 2019, Summers spent three seasons in Green Bay – mainly as a special teamer and backup linebacker – but fell down the depth chart after the Packers added Quay Walker and Isaiah McDuffie in the draft over the last two years.
TE Alize Mack
The Packers released tight end Alize Mack on Tuesday, per Bill Huber of SI.com.
Mack, a seventh-round pick of the Saints in 2019, was on the field for 66 snaps over three preseason games in Green Bay this summer. He didn’t have a catch on one target.
CB Kabion Ento
The Packers released cornerback Kabion Ento on Tuesday, per Ryan Wood of PackersNews.com.
Is this the end of the road for Ento, who was in Green Bay for a fourth summer? He always flashed coverage talent and playmaking ability but never put it all together.
S De'Vante Cross
The Packers released safety De’Vante Cross on Tuesday, per Ryan Wood of PackersNews.com.
Cross, an August signing for depth at safety, was Green Bay’s highest-graded defensive player this preseason, per PFF. Maybe he’ll return on the practice squad.
RB Dexter Williams
The Packers released running back Dexter Williams on Tuesday, per Bill Huber of SI.com.
This is the third time Williams has been released by the Packers. Despite rushing for 60 yards this preseason, he wasn’t able to put himself into the competition for the No. 3 running back spot.
TE Sal Cannella
The Packers released tight end Sal Cannella on Tuesday, per Tom Silverstein of PackersNews.com.
The USFL all-star had a couple of impressive catches during the preseason but wasn’t able to grab a roster spot at tight end.
DL Akial Byers
The Packers waived Byers on Tuesday, per Tom Silverstein of PackersNews.com. He is dealing with a toe injury.
CB Kiondre Thomas
The Packers released cornerback Kiondre Thomas on Tuesday, per Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
Thomas was strong in coverage over three preseason games and could be a legitimate practice squad possibility.
DL Jack Heflin
The Packers released defensive lineman Jack Heflin on Tuesday, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Although Heflin created five stops and two tackles for losses during the preseason, he was unable to stick as the sixth defensive lineman on the roster. The Packers are deep up front on defense.
QB Danny Etling
The Packers released quarterback Danny Etling on Tuesday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love will be the two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster. After a strong preseason, it’s possible Etling will return as the No. 3 option on the practice squad.
DL Chris Slayton
The Packers are releasing defensive lineman Chris Slayton, per Ryan Wood of PackersNews.com.
Slayton led the team with six stops during the preseason, but like Jack Heflin, the Packers’ depth up front made it hard to keep six on the roster. Slayton is a practice squad candidate.
WR Juwann Winfree
The Packers are releasing wide receiver Juwann Winfree on Tuesday, per Tom Silverstein of PackersNews.com.
RB Tyler Goodson
The Packers are releasing running back Tyler Goodson on Tuesday, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
S Shawn Davis
The Packers are parting ways with safety Shawn Davis, per Bill Huber of SI.com.
CB Rico Gafford
The Packers released cornerback Rico Gafford on Tuesday, per Bill Huber of SI.com.
OLB Ladarius Hamilton
The Packers released outside linebacker Ladarius Hamilton on Tuesday, per Ryan Wood of PackersNews.com.
S Innis Gaines
The Packers waived injured safety Innis Gaines on Tuesday, per Ryan Wood of PackersNews.com.
OL Michal Menet
The Packers are releasing offensive lineman Michal Menet on Tuesday, according to Bill Huber of SI.com.
TE Nate Becker
The Packers are releasing tight end Nate Becker on Tuesday, per Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
