GreedFall 2, officially titled GreedFall: The Dying World. has left Early Access and launched in full on March 12, 2026, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
GreedFall: The Dying World is a narrative-driven RPG set three years before the original GreedFall, shifting the spotlight to a native of Teer Fradee who ends up taken to the Old Continent of Gacane.
The game centers on political conflict and faction pressure, with the continent dealing with the Malichor plague and escalating instability. Player agency and choices are paramount, as they shape alliances and outcomes. The progression systems are built around character attributes, talents, and abilities, with multiple ways to approach quests beyond straight combat.
The game is developed by Spiders, the French studio behind the first GreedFall and a long line of mid-budget RPGs, including Technomancer and Steelrising. GreedFall launched in 2019 and built a following for its colonial-era-inspired fantasy setting, faction reputation mechanics, and companion-driven quest structure.
How to buy GreedFall: The Dying World
If you decided to give the second game in the GreeFall series a try, you can buy it on one of these three platforms:
- PlayStation Store (PS5)
- Xbox Store (Xbox Series X|S)
- Steam (PC) (if you purchased the game in Early Access, you already have the final version at no extra charge).
For physical console copies, Nacon sells them through its own official store, including a physical Deluxe option, which is coming soon.
Editions and prices
GreedFall: The Dying World has only two editions: Standard and Deluxe. The regular edition contains only the base game, while the Deluxe one comes with a slew of digital goodies:

PC system requirements
GreedFall: The Dying World is built with Spiders’ own proprietary and aptly named Silk Engine. While it does look a little bit dated, it doesn’t suffer from the issues the ever-popular Unreal Engine 5 does, and it also allows for a wider variety of lower-spec machines to comfortably run the game.

Spiders continues to craft very unique games. They’re not the best you’ll ever play, but they’re also unlike anything else on today’s market, and GreedFall: The Dying World does not disappoint in this either.
