Greater Manchester could face more flooding as a yellow weather warning issued by the Met Office continues into today (Saturday January 14).
The alert, which covers the west of England and all of Wales, is in place from 9pm on Friday January 13 to 12 noon today. The forecaster said that flooding could cause damage to people's homes as well as disruption on the roads and to public transport services.
Journeys might take longer and motorists are being warned to take extra care on the roads and plan ahead. Gusts of up to 60 mph are also forecast in some coastal areas.

The Met Office warned: "Outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, will move in from the southwest on Friday evening then persist overnight into Saturday. 20 to 30 mm rain is likely quite widely with 40 to 50 mm on some hills.
"With conditions already very wet this is likely to cause some flooding. The rain will also be accompanied by strong winds, with gusts of 40-50 mph and possibly 60 mph on some exposed coasts in the south.
"The rain and strong winds will clear eastwards during Saturday daytime".
Greater Manchester forecast for Saturday
The day will start off dull and wet, with light rain forecast from the morning until 12 noon. There will be around four hours of dry weather, where conditions will remain cloudy until 5pm.
From then, the light rain will continue until around 8pm, with cloudy conditions predicted for the rest of the night. Temperatures will peak at 9C, with lows of a chilly 3C.
