The clock is ticking down towards the start of 2023. Revellers across Greater Manchester are gearing up to welcome the new year in style, with parties set to take place across the region.
Many will be making the decision of whether to go out or stay in this New Year's Eve. And because of the way New Year's Day falls on a Sunday this year, January 2 is an extra bank holiday, giving many people an extra day to get over the festivities of NYE.
But how will the weather stack up? The cold snap from earlier in December has made way for milder weather in recent weeks, with rain falling on several days around Christmas.
