Thunderstorms are set to hit Greater Manchester on Monday (August 15) and Tuesday (August 16) as the latest of the UK's summer heatwaves comes to an end.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for the entirety of England and Wales for rain from 10am until midnight tonight (August 15). Power cuts and delays and cancellations in trains and buses are predicted, while spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions for motorists.
It comes after temperatures soared to 34C in parts of the UK over the weekend. Meanwhile, Cornwall and parts of Devon became the latest areas to introduce a hosepipe ban amid continuing droughts.
