Greater Manchester is set to be warmer than Zante over the Easter weekend as temperatures soar in our region. It's not every day that rainy Manchester swaps its weather with Greece, but on Saturday and Sunday it's set to be hotter - and drier - than the Ionian island.
The temperature in Greater Manchester this weekend is forecast to hit highs of 20C on both Saturday and Sunday. The weather will be partly cloudy, with some light breeze, according to Weather.com.
Meanwhile, temperatures in Zante on Saturday will also reach 20C, but conditions will be 'mostly cloudy' with showers forecast in the evening and overnight. On Sunday, the island's temperature will peak at just 18C, accompanied by rainy weather throughout the day and into the night.

The balmy weather will continue into Easter Monday for Greater Manchester, remaining dry and partly cloudy, with highs of 19C. Conditions in Zante, however, will remain miserable, with its bout of rain to carry on all day on Monday. Temperatures will yet again be cooler than Manchester, dropping to 16C.
The outlook for our region leading up to the weekend, however, isn't so sunny. Greater Manchester will continue to get its share of wet weather with the possibility of heavy showers and thunder on Tuesday.
The thunder will ease but the weather will stay wet on Wednesday, finally clearing up overnight. Thursday will stay dry but cloudy in the daytime, with highs of 18C.
The April showers will resume overnight and into Easter Friday morning, but they will soon clear, letting up for a dry - but again, still cloudy - afternoon, with temperatures reaching 17C.
