It’s going to be a beautiful weekend in Greater Manchester. We can’t believe it either.
For the last week, our region has enjoyed temperatures of up to 18C, warm sunshine - and there's barely been a cloud in sight. Following flooding, strong winds and cold spells earlier this year, it's been an absolute treat.
And it looks like the glorious weather will continue this weekend, according to the Met Office.

Forecasters say it is expected to ‘feel very warm in prolonged sunshine’.
“Any patchy fog readily clears on Saturday morning leaving a fine and dry day with largely sunny skies and small amounts of fair weather cloud," the Met Office said.
"Feeling very warm once again. Maximum temperature 19C.”
On Saturday evening, it's expected to stay dry, with clear skies. On Sunday, it is expected to be another dry day with sunny intervals. The maximum temperature is expected to be 18C.
Into next week, the cloud is expected to return. The Met Office said: “Becoming increasingly cloudy during the start of next week, with potential for the odd shower, though winds remaining light. Feeling cooler as temperatures fall towards the seasonal average.”
Across the UK, you can expect similar scenes. In London, temperatures are likely to remain warm, with high’s of 20C on Saturday. Sunday is likely to be cloudier, but will still remain warm.
“Dry with plenty of warm sunshine for most parts after a chilly start. Becoming breezier in the southwest. Some low cloud affecting the far north of Scotland, perhaps also affecting some North Sea coasts towards evening,” the Met Office said.
Tonight, across the rest of the country, it’s looking like a clear night, with more breeze in the South. It’s expected to become cloudier in the east with some low clouds and fog.
On Sunday, the Met Office said: “Fine and sunny for many western and northern parts though still breezy in the south. Cloudier and cooler in East Anglia and southeast England though some sunny spells developing.”
The outlook for the start of next week suggests it will remain warm, but gradually turn more unsettled with showers and rain.
