Temperatures are set to drop over the next week — as a biting cold will roll into the city-region in around seven days time.
The mercury is set to dip below freezing on Tuesday (March 7), with Mancs waking up to temperatures well below freezing. Oldhamers and Tameside residents will have it particularly bad, seeing -3C on the thermostat.
It should be largely dry, though. The Met Office is predicting that dark clouds will roll in, and there’s a small chance of rain on Sunday evening.

Snow is predicted to hit parts of the region on Tuesday (March 7) morning — so be sure to check your commute to work, or if the kids’ school is open.
Bolton
High temperatures hover around the 7C mark, with lows between 3C-1C until Tuesday. Expect clouds across the day, and a small chance of rain on Sunday evening. On Tuesday, highs will be 4C, and lows of -2C.
Bury

Manchester
High temperatures hover around the 8C-6C mark, with lows between 3C-1C until Tuesday. Expect clouds across the day. On Tuesday, highs will be 5C, and lows of -2C.
Oldham
It’ll be colder in Oldham compared to neighbouring Manchester. High temperatures will only get to 6C, with lows between 2C-0C until Tuesday. Expect dark clouds across the day. On Tuesday, highs will be 4C, and lows of -3C, and a patch of sun.
Rochdale
High temperatures hover around the 7C mark until the weekend, with lows between 3C-2C. However, it gets colder on Sunday and Monday, with highs of 5C and lows around freezing, before Tuesday when highs will just be 4C, and lows of -2C. It’s a cloudy outlook across the week.
Salford
High temperatures hover around the 8C-6C mark, with lows between 3C-1C until Tuesday. Expect clouds across the day. On Tuesday it’ll be warmer than most, with highs at 5C, and lows of -1C.
Stockport
There’s a chance of snow in Stockport next week. Before then, high temperatures hover around the 8C-6C mark, with lows between 3C-1C until Tuesday. Expect clouds across the day. On Tuesday, highs will be 5C, and lows of -2C — with snow predicted in the early hours.
Tameside
Tameside will get the coldest weather in Greater Manchester.
High temperatures will only get to 6C, with lows between 2C-0C until Tuesday. Expect dark clouds across the day. On Tuesday, highs will be 4C, and lows of -3C, and a patch of sun.
Trafford
High temperatures hover around the 8C-6C mark, with lows between 3C-1C until Tuesday. Expect clouds across the day. On Tuesday it’ll be warmer than most, with highs at 5C, and lows of -1C.
Wigan
High temperatures hover around the 8C-6C mark, with lows between 3C-1C until Tuesday. Expect clouds across the day. On Tuesday it’ll be warmer than most, with highs at 5C, and lows of -1C.
