Now's the time to put your name in the hat if you want to take on the Great North Run in September 2023.
The entry ballot for the 2023 AJ Bell Great North Run is now open. Runners have until 10am on Monday February 20 to submit their entry. The entry ballot will be made at random.
The ballot is just one of the ways you can secure a Great North Run entry for 2023. Another popular route is to get in touch with a charity and offer to raise money for them by taking part in the Great North Run.

Those who enter the ballot will find out if they have a place by 5pm on February 24, 2023.

Head to the Great North Run's booking partner, Let's do this, to enter the Great North Run Ballot.
You must apply by Monday February 20, 2023.
2023 Great North Run entry cost
This year Great North Run entry costs £62 plus a £2 booking fee. You will have to supply card details to enter the ballot. Make sure the card you use does not expire before March 2023 and make sure there are funds in your bank to pay if you are successful.
When will I know if I've been successful and have a Great North Run 2023 place?
Great Run says: "All entrants of the ballot will receive an email no later than 5pm on Friday 24th February to let them know whether or not they have been successful."
