Manchester United fans have jokingly claimed that Erik ten Hag demanded his players to score three more goals when already 4-1 up against Real Betis on Thursday evening.
United cruised into a commanding advantage in the first leg of their last-16 tie against Betis, with Marcus Rashford opening the scoring inside six minutes before a second-half blitz saw Antony, Bruno Fernandes and Wout Weghorst all find the net.
Ten Hag's side will now take a three-goal lead into next week's second leg in a perfect response to Sunday's 7-0 humbling at the hands of Liverpool - a result the Dutchman described as embarrassing.

With 85 minutes gone in Thursday's win, Ten Hag was seen on the touchline shouting: "Three, three guys, Three!"
Plenty took to social media to suggest what they thought the Dutchman might have been demanding of his team, with some joking he wanted at least three more goals ahead of next Thursday's second leg in Spain.
Another possible - and potentially more likely - explanation was that the United boss was reminding his side to form a midfield-three to match up with Betis and close out the final minutes of the game. United did manage to see out the remaining minutes and head to Seville next week with a three-goal lead.
