Great British Bake Off hopeful Amanda Georgiou has admitted she once broke into the famous tent.
The Met Police detective sneaked in after filming to get some extra practice – and she roped in fellow Londoner and contestant George Aristidou as an accomplice.
Amanda, 56, said: “One sneaky evening, George and I crept into the tent.
"Security is usually so tight but somehow we managed to slip past.
"We just wanted to get a bit of extra practice in.”
But a guard soon spotted them and chouxed them out.
And Amanda ended up being the sixth eliminated from last year’s Channel 4 show when her pie fell apart in pastry week.
The bubbly mum of two’s police job was a source of comedy for host Matt Lucas.
She said: “We used a rolling pin for ‘officer safety training’ and we were saying, ‘Just go for the legs’.
"That’s typical Matt.”
Amanda, who got into the show on her second attempt, said: “Some of the best times were having a hard, long day in the tent then getting a late-night pizza delivery with Chigs [Parmar] and George.
"It was strange to be getting a takeaway with a bunch of kitchen masters but we enjoyed it.”
