Around 15,000 people will be pounding the streets of Bristol today, taking part in the Great Bristol Run - and it promises to be the perfect conditions for running around the picturesque city centre course.
The forecast for the day from the Met Office is for glorious late September sunshine for the entire morning, with little in the way of wind, and temperatures not too hot for those taking on the 10k or the half marathon course.
For those wanting to cheer on their family, friends or everyone taking part for charity - or to see some elite runners - the races start early - with the Great Bristol Family Run at 9am. And from then for the rest of the day, there will be thousands of people setting off from the start point on Anchor Road, heading west to Hotwells, and then around the city centre course.

The weather looks set to be just about perfect, according to the Met Office.
Below, we'll give details of the course, and the various and complex series of road closures, but first, this is the hour-by-hour weather forecast, alongside the timetable for the day itself.
4am to 8am - Anchor Road will be the first road to close from 4am, as preparations get underway to create the start and finish zones. From around 6am, other roads around the city centre will begin to close and be fenced off to allow a clear course for the runners. The weather before dawn will be clear, dry and calm, and actually a bit chilly. Temperatures will drop to just 9C, but it'll feel down to 7C in a gentle northerly breeze. There's not a hint of rain either, the Met Office predicts a less-than-5% chance of rain, so essentially negligible.
8am-9am - The information point and baggage drop opens, and the Great Bristol Family Run entrants will assemble at 8.45am, before setting off at 9am. All the roads will be closed, including the Portway will be closed, as the runners set off. Dawn will see the sun come up with clear blue sunny skies, and the breeze will drop a touch. Still no rain, but still chilly - at 9C.
9am-10am - Those taking part in the 10k will be gathering from 9.20am for a warm-up and at 9.25am, the 10k wheelchair race begins, with the visually-impaired 10k starting just three minutes later at 9.28am. Then, from 9.30am, the three waves of 10k runners - orange, green and then pink, will set off from 9.30am at seven minute intervals. The weather will remain bright and sunny, and getting slightly less chilly, with temperatures rising in the Sunday morning sun to 10C.
10am-11am - With the 10k runners away down Hotwell Road and around Cumberland Basin, the half marathon runners will begin to line up. The warm-up for those runners begins at 10.20am and then the three waves (again, orange, green and pink) will set off at 10.30am, 10.40am and 10.50am. The weather at this point will still be perfect - bright sunshine, temperatures up to 12C and the wind dropping right down now to a barely perceptible 3 knots.
11am-12pm - By this point, the first finishers in all the different 10k races will be done and dusted, with the half-marathon runners heading off for around three miles down the Portway and back again. The weather will continue to be lovely - bright sunshine and barely a whisper of wind, with temperatures climbing steadlly up to 13C.
12pm-1pm - Everyone doing the 10k should have finished and the first half marathon runners will be finishing too. Lunchtime will see the cloud building and the sun may go in from time to time. Still no hint of rain, and temperatures continuing to rise, up to 14C
1pm-2pm - The bulk of those doing the half marathon will be finishing or pounding the streets of the city centre having returned from the Portway. The weather will continue to be a bit more overcast, as the sun increasingly disappear behind the clouds. The temperature will reach 16C with the wind beginning to switch to the west.
2pm-3pm - The last remaining stragglers will still be out on the course. It will be overcast by now, with the wind round to the west, and tempeartures reaching a peak of 17C.
For those wanting to watch the runners, the advice is to get public transport in to the city centre, or park at one of the big shoppers car parks at Cabot Circus. Many roads will be closed around the city centre, the harbourside, Hotwells and the Portway.
Both the 10k and the half marathon start on Anchor Road, close to the Jacobs Wells Road roundabout. Runners on both races will head west along Hotwell Road into Hotwells and the only difference between the two routes happens at the Cumberland Basin - runners doing the half marathon then go around three miles up and back down the A4 Portway before rejoining the same route as the 10k.
The route for both then crosses Merchants Bridge to Spike Island and then heads along the north bank of the River Avon New Cut on Cumberland Road, before turning left at the Louisiana, crossing Prince Street Bridge and then up and around Queen Square.
The route then weaves around Queen Square, back on to Prince Street, around past the Mud Dock, up Welsh Back and then over Bristol Bridge. There's then a circuit of Redcliffe down to St Mary Redcliffe Church and back up to Finzels Reach, crossing the Floating Harbour at St Philips Bridge, around Castle Park and back down Baldwin Street, to The Centre.
Runners will then do a lap of The Centre, before heading into the final straight, going past the Hippodrome and the Watershed, before the finishing line back on Anchor Road in front of We The Curious.
