Paramount+ is releasing a prequel to the iconic 1978 film Grease.
The musical series takes place four years before the original film to tell the story of the Pink Ladies in 1954, as well as show their connection to the T-Birds. Production on the 10-episode series is currently underway in Vancouver and it is expected to be released on Paramount+ on April 6, 2023.
According to the synopsis, the series “follows four fed-up and misfit students who band together to bring out the moral panic that will change Rydell High forever and become the founding mothers of the first high school clique known as the Pink Ladies”.
