NOIDA: After camping on the stairs for eight days, Sunil and Rakhi Gupta could finally enter their apartment in a Greater Noida condominium Thursday evening after the tenant who had obstinately refused to vacate relented in the face of sustained pressure from neighbours, media coverage of the couple’s plight following TOI’s report on July 26 and an outpouring of sympathy and anger from netizens, report Anjali Singh and Prabhakar Sinha.
On Friday, sitting in the living room of their 15th-floor flat at Shri Radha Sky Garden, the relieved couple expressed gratitude for the support they had received since they arrived in Greater Noida on July 19 from Mumbai. Their daughter Priya said, “I want to express my gratitude to TOI for all the help and support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart”.
