The departure of Norwich City sporting director Stuart Webber has split opinion online. The 39-year-old has left Carrow Road and is one of a number of candidates linked with the vacant sporting director role at Elland Road.
Webber came under criticism following the Canaries relegation from the Premier League and was once again the target of supporters' frustration throughout the course of last season. Norwich finished in a disappointing mid-table position having been many people's bet for the title.
The outgoing sporting director at Carrow Road was praised for his recruitment as Daniel Farke's side won promotion in their 2021 title win. Prior to his work in Norfolk he worked with Leeds United's Yorkshire rivals Huddersfield Town and was instrumental in the recruitment of a number of key players in their promotion to the Premier League in 2017.
Some Norwich supporters are happy to see the back of Webber while others have warned the grass isn't always greener.

@NateGee7 said: "Well, people have been calling for his head over 2 years now. Wonder if the new signings were anything to do with him at all because they don’t scream Webber appointments."
