Granit Xhaka has accused some of his Arsenal team-mates of not having 'the balls' to play at St. James' Park with his side in desperate need of three points to ensure Champions League qualification was in their own hands. Instead, it was Newcastle United who looked liked they were in the hunt for European football.
An own goal from Ben White and a late Bruno Guimaraes strike ensured Eddie Howe's side would stay in the hunt for a top-half finish ahead of the final day of the season. The former Arsenal captain has accused his team-mates of not being up for the fight in front of a full house at St. James' Park.
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game Xhaka said: "It's difficult to find the right words. From the first minute to the 90th we didn't deserve to be on the pitch.
