The grandson of a legendary TV presenter made a surprising appearance on BBC's Dragons' Den last night (Thursday February 2). Myles Dickinson-Brown stood before the dragons to pitch his business idea of personalising credit cards.
The 18-year-old student asked for £35,000 in return for a 35% share in his company. But it wasn’t just his ambitious pitch that impressed the investors, according to BirminghamLive.
Sara Davies recognised that the youngster must have ‘entrepreneurialism in [his] bones’ as she remarked on him starting the business during his A Levels. She asked: "Is that upbringing, is that genetic?"

Myles added: "My dad he runs a mortgage business.. and my grandad's on TV." He was then asked about his grandfather's TV career to which he said: "He does Dickinson's Real Deal...he's a TV presenter. He's David Dickinson."
The legendary TV personality, best known for Dickinson’s Real Deal, starred on the likes of Bargain Hunt, as well as presenting his own programmes David Dickinson’s Name Your Price and The David Dickinson Show. An impressed Peter said: "Wow, he’s really good."
Viewers at home were also shocked as one woman called Char wrote: "David Dickinson’s grandson? Wasn’t expecting that."
Gabriella commented: "David Dickinson?! That’s cool" whilst another added: "David Dickinson is his grandad. Wow that’s a shock. Wouldn’t have guessed."
Myles received three offers for the investment that he was looking for which came from Peter Jones, Steven Bartlett and Touker Suleyman. Myles accepted Steven’s offer as he promised the youngster he could come and work with him in his office.
Dragon's Den returns to BBC One at 8pm next Thursday.
