Grandma pulled out own tooth after five-month wait to see dentist left her in 'horrendous' pain

A grandma was forced to pull out her own teeth after an excruciating five-month wait for a dentist appointment. Jacqueline Shepherd, 56, went through “sheer hell” after developing a severe toothache in February this year.

Jacqueline, from St Ann's, Nottinghamshire, was unable to get a dentist appointment despite her "horrendous" pain. The mum-of-two took matters into her own hands after months of agony, pulling out one of her own teeth.

She told Nottinghamshire Live: "I have a high pain threshold but it was too painful. I kept twisting it, it took me two days to finally get it out."
