Woman tries to grab stranger's baby in Lidl before shoppers form barricade around pram

A grandmother "tried to grab a baby" in a Lidl supermarket, a court heard.

Carolyn Taylor, 43, repeatedly tried to grab a baby boy from a buggy at the supermarket in Stockton last December, Teesside Magistrates Court heard.

The gran denied it, claiming she would "never hurt a child". Taylor was found guilty of assault following a trial.
