A grandad has showed off his bodybuilder transformation after he overhauled his lifestyle.
Steve Ramsden has dropped four waist sizes after changing his diet and hitting the gym with fitness coach son Dan, 31. The ambulance care assistant previously weighted 15st 11lb - and he would regularly start the day with a sausage, spam and tomato sandwich during the week and a fry up on a weekend.
He'd stop off for a McDonalds or a sandwich and a packet of crisps at a shop before tucking into a takeaway of an evening twice a week. The 60-year-old would also regularly eat out at a local pub where he'd wash down a roast dinner with a few pints of lager.

However, he was inspired to change his lifestyle after he twisted his back at work and noticed the simplest of tasks such as tying his shoelaces, would leave him out of breath. He said: "It just creeps up on you before you know it. I didn't want to have my picture with my top off or anything. I just wasn't confident.
"I'd felt like I'd let myself go, I was drinking too much, I was eating too much. I was transferring a patient at work in a carry chair and she kicked her leg out as she had cramp and I twisted my back.
"If I wasn't so out of shape that wouldn't have happened." Steve decided to get into shape as he wanted to be in the best physical shape possible to be around to see his granddaughter Phoebe, 3, grow up.
He added: "I said 'New Year's Resolution, I'm going to go for it'. I just thought 'if I carry on like this, I won't be able to see my granddaughter grow up. We have her one day a week and take her out and if you're not fit and healthy, you just can't do it
"I think you just get to an age where you think 'if I don't do anything about it now, I won't be able to do anything in four or five years."
Steve enlisted the help of his son Dan, a one-to-one fitness coach, who drew up a training and nutrition plan which he's followed since January. Steve hits the gym five times a week for 90 minute weight sessions, followed by half an hour of cardio.
He goes for regular walks with his wife and has ditched the convenience food for healthy, home-cooked meals and hasn't touched a takeaway in nine months. He' still goes to the pub but has replaced lager with whisky alongside a pint of water as it has fewer calories.
Steve has since dropped four stone as he now weighs a lean 11st 7lb. He added: "I'm up at around 4.30-5am, I'm at the gym for 5.30, I've cut out drink and takeaways, I'm feeling so much better. Mentally I'm 100% better, as soon as I wake up in the morning, I just want to get up and do things. I've got so much more energy."
Steve is now considering entering an bodybuilding competition to complete the turnaround and he has received praise from his proud son.
Dan said: "I run online coaching, so because he's my dad, I did a lot with him. He'd train with me and I controlled his nutrition. He's smashed it. He's my hero."
