A grandad has been diagnosed with a 'one-in-a-million' tumour after visiting doctors complaining about a sore throat. Lee Marsh, 54, has been left with permanent voice damage after being diagnosed with Glomus Jugular.
Lee initially attempted to treat the symptoms with over-the-counter medication for laryngitis. It was only when his voice started to worsen and he experienced pain down his neck he decided to see a GP.
The engineer from Exhall in England was sent to Coventry Hospital for a CT scan and MRI within a week of seeing doctors. As reported by Coventry Live, Lee was diagnosed with Glomus Jugular at the base of his skull in August.
